On Denim and it's Moment

Well I guess it's not really a moment considering that denim is always "in" in some form or another. This season it seems to have taken a turn for the distressed, yet no matter when or where, with denim, you can't go wrong. Therefore I guess you could say this is my personal tribute to the peoples relationship with denim. Some of my personal favorite shots of people paying their own respects to it. Hail to the all-American textile. Long may it live and ever may it be in style. I did not rhyme that on purpose.

Philip Lim you rock my world. Everyone, this vest converts into a backpack... pure genius. 

Well I don't really know what to say for this one except for that she's very, very cool and knows it. 

This is a classic you-just-can't-get-it-wrong-even-if-you-tried kind of outfit. Pulled off exceptionally well, however.

I thought this one was a good one to end with. It's simple and worn down, but still beautiful. Which is what denim seems to be all about anyways, right?

While browsing...

HOLA. I take French at school not Spanish. This has absolutely nothing to do with this here post. Anyways...I am in need of new Summer clothes as I've outgrown most of mine from last year! I was browsing the internet, Topshop to be exact, and came across piece after piece that I found myself saying to myself "This is the coolest thing I've ever seen!" "I really do need a pair of silk running shorts!". I have a problem with talking to myself sometimes, but you get the point. This is all too good to be true bah-dum chh.

I'm honestly not quite sure why I added the numbers. They don't mean anything. All of these items can be found at Topshop. As you can see, all of the colors are relatively muted. This happened by accident as I'm not sure why I was drawn to the likes of navy and army green. My favorite piece here is by far the overalls. There are really no words to describe those beauties. I hope y'all enjoy, get inspired, what have you. Happy browsing people!

MR DANNIJO

This is unfortunate, I essentially want my hands on every piece from the new MR DANNIJO collection. Alas, that will not happen yet I'm sharing my top three favorites with you anyways.

Color-Block on Top, Prints Below

Hey everyone!! Here is what I wore today, and will probably also wear to school at some point this week (with an extra layer to make it dress-code proof of course!). This coming week may be busy, I'm warning you, but I do have some good stuff planned so get pumped. Hope you enjoy these!

Clearly, I have turned into a ghost, there is no other possible explanation for the above photograph...

My feet are just so...interesting. But really, I was trying to make this look like a magazine editorial. A mediocre one. Please ignore the electrical socket in the background, thanks. 

I couldn't decide whether or not to use this picture. On one hand, it proves to you that I was, indeed, wearing shorts. On the other, even I can't tell if I was mid-smile, in the process of talking, or forming some kind of evolved duck face. So, let me just distract you with meaningless sentences such as this one. 

And the obligatory detail shot. I love this necklace so much it hurts. My friend got it for me for my birthday this past year and I basically try to find a way to wear it with everything. So help me. Unfortunately I can't remember where that jacket is from as I've had it since I was in the 7th grade! However the top and shorts are from Urban Outfitters. Have a good last bit of your weekend!

Lazy Saturday

Yes, yes, I'm still alive. I know I said I would start posting more often and then that didn't really happen, but now I have figured out the self-timer on my camera which will allow for me to post much more easily! Anyways, back to this post. For lazy Saturdays like this one, when all I want to do is relax, a worn in tee shirt (SAVE FERRIS!!!) and denim cut offs is my go-too. I threw on a denim vest too because who doesn't love a good old Canadian Tuxedo? 

I love the way that these photos came out with a very grungy sort of gritty quality. (aka I didn't wipe down my lens!)Have a great Saturday everyone!
