marathon post

Once again, sorry for the inherent neglect. It's bad I know. Who am I to call myself a blogger? But anyways, I am here and breathing therefore blood is being supplied to my boney robot-fingers in order to type this. So. Get. Excited.

However, the real reason I've snatched you from the plethora of other interesting attractions that fill the interwebs to my lonely little blog is to discuss important matters. I try not to waste your time. You would think that as a "fashion blogger" (though I honestly hate calling myself that) I would be going batshit crazy right now "reporting" oh god the sarcasm about fashion week(s), but I'm sure you're getting enough o' that from other blogs so here we can create some breathing space to talk about more interesting things.

First of all, it's March. So happy spring, even though it's a solid 36 degrees here in New York right now. I'm feeling this month, not in the tangible sense, in the vibe-y sense if you know what I mean. I've always felt that March is like a limbo month, not quite winter anymore, definitely not spring, some sort of weird hybrid that no one really likes because its gloomy and more often than not muddy, but I've always liked the underdog. In a visceral sense, here is March translated into clothing for you:

The explanation is as simple as the pieces/images are, no need for superfluous reasoning. Like I said, March is a hybrid month, unpredictable, and fluctuating wildly climactically. All you can do (read: all I do) is stay clean and simple and layered and all the other familiar comforts you know and love in a tumultuous and anxious time poetic license status: used up. Item details on my polyvore if you're curious.

As with any mood, there comes music, and with that I leave you with my current favorites that aren't so different from my not current favorites aka my favorites 4 months ago because that's just the way it goes OKAY:

I could probably list 20 more and these are in no particular order (except Blood Red Moon is my numero uno) but aside from that, just the first songs that came to mind. Maybe this is overboard, I don't know, I don't know anything.

I do feel that an awkward transition is necessary though for me to highlight one quick fashion week moment that I just need to let out because my love for it, behold Margiela hair-strap:

Honestly, it's actually practical and cool looking. I dig. Now that this post has overstayed it's welcome and I don't want to bore you considering you probably have cool places to be and amazing people to meet while I'm writing this from home at 10 pm on a Friday night after running on the treadmill and drinking a smoothie. What you would expect from a classy-ass teenager. The good life.
