When I have an overwhelming amount of writing to do for school and it just so happens to be raining, one can imagine a sudden lack of inspiration in dressing. A lack of inspiration to even bother slathering myself in clothing at all to be honest, yet of course I still do because of the pressures of society blah blah blah...but anyways, on the rare days like today when it comes down wearing clothes not because I genuinely enjoy curating outfits, but because I need to (these days are far and few between), i end up inadvertently emulating people with simple style that I admire. Today that person happened to be Cara Delevingne, cue the motor boots a skinny jeans. More on simple style to come, by the way...

Warm and Fuzzy Feelings

Two of the reasons why fall and winter are my favorite seasons, just now I'm realizing I should have photographed the first snow outside too! Again, sorry about the lack of posts, for some reason I've been particularly uninspired lately and I don't want to just post random things with no real significance. Quality over quantity, right? Anyways, hopefully that will change soon as winter gets in and the hurricane madness that ensued last week finally calms down. So, to my fellow Northern Hemisphere people, Happy almost Winter! Stay warm n' cozy.

Blue

 Okay, so clearly there has been a huge lack of posts lately, but there always has been so not much of a surprise there. However, what IS different is that I am now the owner of a pair of overalls. Separately, I am also about one thousand times more worn out than I was the last time I posted (took my PSATs last weekend!) Hence, feeling blue and tired. Notice how my walls are blue too, I painted them just for the occasion. Just kidding I obviously didn't not that that was even a question. As of now I'm actually working on writing a short essay for this blog that I'm hoping to have finished in the near future. I think you guys deserve a structured and coherent thought for once...

Into the Woods

I went on a beautiful little hike in the woods yesterday and brought my camera with me. These are the results! I'm trying to improve my photography skills so if you have any tips or feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Saying hi is fine too! 

In which we discuss floating legs

Sometimes, when it's just too hot to actually wear clothes (kiddin'), the best thing to do is disengage your leg from your body, stick a cool sneaker on it, and have it float in a lovely white vacuum. It's chill, ya know. I really was kidding by the way about the not wearing clothes. I have nothing personal against nudists but that is just not for me...now I'm rambling and getting off topic. If this was an essay for school my teacher would have written "FOCUS. LOOP BACK TO CLAIM." in red pen on the margin. But this is a blog and there is no margin so ha. Anyways, more pictures to come soon. They'll come even sooner if one of you volunteers to do my English summer assignment for me? Anybody? Don't worry, I wouldn't if I were you either. Until then, keep on enjoying your last licks of summer, or winter if you live in the southern hemisphere. 

p.s.- I don't have an explanation for why my leg looks so orangey in the photo so don't ask, though you're probably polite and weren't planning on asking anyways. Ok bye!

Hey, Hey

Today, it was extremely hot, and I am extremely jet-lagged, so forgive me if my sentences are incoherent. I spent the last three weeks in Ireland as a matter of fact, which you would know if you followed my instagram #shamelessplug. I did an art program there,  where I had loads of fun (I'm still a teen after all!) and filled my brain with tons of new techniques. Since I've always loved art and have always considered myself an artist I figure that now it will become a substantial part of this blog just as much as fashion is. When it all boils down to it, isn't pure fashion design a kind of art form as well? That's just my opinion. But anyways, I just wanted to give a heads up as this blog is a reflection of myself and it will continue to change with me. Not drastically or anything, just slowly. I'm thinking more outfit posts so you should get pumped. Oh and this is just what I wore while lounging around today. Cool and simple.

Channeling Sports as Promised

Well, here we are. I know this is super delayed, but hey, as much as I know you sit there in front of that glowing computer screen and wait for me to share my thoughts on life and some photos of interpretive dancing with you, I've also got a whole other set of things I have to attend to. But then again, doesn't everybody? When you have a blog it's almost like having another little world that you've created for yourself and that caters specifically to your interests only. So switching from the world of "sporty-chic is so hot right now" to the world of summer, and being a teen, and eating ice cream and plowing through books like it's nobody's business can get a little bit confusing. Just like everything else in the world. I'm almost one-hundred percent positive I was a philosopher in my past life, by the way. Just saying. Anyways, as I promised yesterday, today we are channeling sports. I think I look like some sort of derelict tennis player, but thats just me.

On Keeping My Word

Here's the rest of that outfit post I alluded to yesterday afternoon. I kept my word, hence the title of this post, and now because of it you get to enjoy some interpretive dance poses and faces that I didn't even know I could make. Any ways, here it is, I'm not sure why my right leg looks so distorted in the first one, but oh well. By the way, a little backstory on these, we (my friend and I) went on a mini road trip to the tiniest, sleepiest little town, that was right on the Hudson. It was hilarious because among all the antique stores and old tavern kind of places, there was an "artisan ice pop" and bubble tea shop, that was anything but old and dated. So thats where the bubble tea is from, that I'm holding, a piece of irrelevant information for you, courtesy of me. As usual. Okay, enjoy!

STRANGELY FITTING

These photos were taken about a week ago, and as you can see from my lack of a head, I took them myself. After I got over the disappointment that they didn't really turn out that well blah blah blah I realized that it was strangely fitting that my head was missing from the frame. Now that school is over my brain is completely turned off, and as we all know, brains are found inside head. So I thought "Eureka! I'm so deep without even meaning to be!" And thus this post was born. 

Can you tell that I'm really into black and white lately? I can. But that was obvious. If you're still reading at this point you should know that what I'm saying right now is barely coherent or related to the topic. Now do you understand what I meant earlier about my mind being off for summer being strangely fitting and all that? I hope so.
