Playing around with a tripod that I borrowed from the school for a video project but will most likely just be using to shoot things that have absolutely nothing to do with my class. Sorry. At their core, these are essentially just fancy selfies that photographers really like to call "self portraits". Where do we draw the line? All I've been able to formulate as an answer is that a self portrait shows or describes an aspect of a person while a selfie makes no statement, it just presents. Think of a self portrait as a selfie with depth. Now that I've just brought this up I'll be thinking about this all day today...but tell me what you think...

Perfect calm, quiet Saturday. Complete with mango, new boots, and much needed sleep, not to mention time to finally work on some art I've been abandoning because of being busy with general homework/school/life duties. Music-wise, Grimes, The xx, Burial, and Terranova have been on repeat and I strongly suggest you do the same. On a side note, I hope you like le nouveaux banner. These days I'm becoming more and more slanted towards minimalism, but more on that later. For now, night. 

Warm and Fuzzy Feelings

Two of the reasons why fall and winter are my favorite seasons, just now I'm realizing I should have photographed the first snow outside too! Again, sorry about the lack of posts, for some reason I've been particularly uninspired lately and I don't want to just post random things with no real significance. Quality over quantity, right? Anyways, hopefully that will change soon as winter gets in and the hurricane madness that ensued last week finally calms down. So, to my fellow Northern Hemisphere people, Happy almost Winter! Stay warm n' cozy.

Blue

 Okay, so clearly there has been a huge lack of posts lately, but there always has been so not much of a surprise there. However, what IS different is that I am now the owner of a pair of overalls. Separately, I am also about one thousand times more worn out than I was the last time I posted (took my PSATs last weekend!) Hence, feeling blue and tired. Notice how my walls are blue too, I painted them just for the occasion. Just kidding I obviously didn't not that that was even a question. As of now I'm actually working on writing a short essay for this blog that I'm hoping to have finished in the near future. I think you guys deserve a structured and coherent thought for once...

Another photo from yesterday...I guess it's a self portrait. Don't ask why I brought a sweater even though it was seventy-five degrees... I think I'm just ready for summer to be over and fall to start.

Into the Woods

I went on a beautiful little hike in the woods yesterday and brought my camera with me. These are the results! I'm trying to improve my photography skills so if you have any tips or feedback it would be greatly appreciated. Saying hi is fine too! 

Hey, Hey

Today, it was extremely hot, and I am extremely jet-lagged, so forgive me if my sentences are incoherent. I spent the last three weeks in Ireland as a matter of fact, which you would know if you followed my instagram #shamelessplug. I did an art program there,  where I had loads of fun (I'm still a teen after all!) and filled my brain with tons of new techniques. Since I've always loved art and have always considered myself an artist I figure that now it will become a substantial part of this blog just as much as fashion is. When it all boils down to it, isn't pure fashion design a kind of art form as well? That's just my opinion. But anyways, I just wanted to give a heads up as this blog is a reflection of myself and it will continue to change with me. Not drastically or anything, just slowly. I'm thinking more outfit posts so you should get pumped. Oh and this is just what I wore while lounging around today. Cool and simple.
